Meet the Swim Guides
Mel
TWSCo.’s full-time swim guide, Mel, is a qualified Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Swim Coach, and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Programme. Currently studying for her Diploma in Cold Water Therapy, Mel is also a nutritionist, personal trainer, and runs a successful Swim School.
Becky
Becky joined TWSCo. as a hospitality assistant before earning her Beach Lifeguard and Open Water Lifeguard qualifications in 2023.
Rich
Rich is a Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard, and Open Water Swim Coach who has achieved the National Water Safety Management Programme. As an RNLI lifeboat crew member and operations manager at Land & Wave, a busy outdoor centre in Dorset, Rich also delivers lifeguard and water safety awards as a National Trainer Assessor for The Royal Lifesaving Society.

Welcome to Your Wild Swimming Adventure
Arrive at our accommodation at 1 pm to homemade chocolate cake, a hot drink, and breathtaking views over the bay. The experience begins with a swim clinic led by coach Mel at Bude’s spectacular sea pool, or an Introduction to Wild Swimming and Cold Water session with Rich.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner paired with table wine, followed by a magical sunset dip. End the day re-warming around a crackling beach fire, just as nature intended.

Day Two: Sunrise Swims and Coastal Adventures
Early birds can start the day with an unforgettable sunrise dip, complete with warm croissants to savour afterward.
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll venture to a stunning Cornish cove for a point-to-point swim or explore Cathedral caves, weather permitting. Of course, no Cornish adventure is complete without a classic Cornish pasty for lunch—when in Rome!
In the afternoon, intrepid adventurers can opt for a hike along the famous South West Coast Path, ending the day at a cosy country pub.
Back at the accommodation, enjoy a homemade dinner before settling in for an engaging sea safety and swim planning talk in the lounge.
Day Three: Mythical Waters and Farewell
Begin your day with a feast of bottomless pancakes before we journey to a spectacular Cornish waterfall hidden within ancient woodland—a place steeped in myth and natural beauty.
Savour homemade cake as we wrap up our retreat, departing with unforgettable memories at 1 pm.
