‘The Summer in Dorset Retreat’
Join us for a truly unforgettable summer retreat, running from 1pm Wednesday to 1pm Friday, based at an exclusive 7-bedroom private house on Beach Road, Studland.
Just 300m from the golden sands of Studland Beach, immerse yourself in the beauty of sunsets, emerald seas, and iconic chalk cliffs. Enjoy delicious morning and evening meals as part of this all-inclusive getaway.
Mel
As TWSCo’s full-time swim guide, Mel is a qualified Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Swim Coach, and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Programme. She is currently working towards her Diploma in Cold Water Therapy and is a nutritionist, personal trainer, and swim school operator.
Becky
Becky began her journey with TWSCo as a hospitality assistant and became a certified Beach Lifeguard and Open Water Lifeguard in 2023.
Rich
Rich is an expert Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard, and Open Water Swim Coach, who also serves as a National Trainer Assessor for the Royal Lifesaving Society. Additionally, Rich is part of the RNLI lifeboat crew and manages Land & Wave, a bustling outdoor center in Dorset.

Day 1: Welcome to Dorset!
Arrive at our stunning accommodation at 1pm, where homemade cake and a hot drink will be waiting to greet you.After settling in, we’ll head down to the Studland Bay nature reserve. Here, you can choose between:
Following this, unwind in a private beachside sauna, where the Finnish-style dip-and-sauna experience offers the perfect start to your retreat.Back at the house, enjoy a homecooked dinner by Chef Mel, followed by a trip to a secret sunset dip location for a truly magical end to your first day.
Day 2: Dive into Dorset's Beauty
Sunrise Magic:
For the early risers, start your day with an outstanding sunrise dip while the morning light paints the sky. Warm croissants will be waiting to reward your bravery.
Hearty Breakfast:
Fuel up with a delicious breakfast to prepare for the day ahead.
Iconic Swim Adventure:
Take on an unforgettable swim to either Old Harry Rocks or Durdle Door, depending on weather and tide conditions. Experience the breath taking beauty of these landmarks up close. Afterward, a powerboat ride will whisk you back to shore in style. Celebrate your accomplishment with glorious homemade cake.
Warming Lunch: Enjoy soup and freshly baked bread, a comforting meal to recharge.
Afternoon Exploration (Optional):
Join us for a hike through the UK's only Super National Nature Reserve, rich with Dorset mythology and incredible wildlife. This scenic walk may include a stop at a charming country pub to unwind.
Evening Delights:
Savour another homemade dinner before the evening concludes with the renowned Tame the Tides talk, led by Rich, a Royal Lifesaving Society National Trainer Assessor. Gain insights into tides, rips, and waves in this engaging and informal session.
Day 3: A Scenic Challenge to Finish
Morning Fuel:
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, preparing you for one last adventure.
The Three Piers Challenge:
Head out to Swanage's Old Pier, where you'll begin this TWSCo. favourite swim. This unique challenge connects an atmospheric old pier, a Victorian pier, and the town quay, offering a mix of history, scenery, and accomplishment.
Cake Finale:
No retreat would be complete without one last serving of our signature homemade cake, the perfect treat to celebrate your achievements.
Farewell:
The retreat concludes with carriages at 1pm, leaving you with incredible memories, new friendships, and a heart full of Dorset's charm.
